Editors of Polish-Irish Historical Studies
Dr Kucharski is a historian and researcher with a PhD in History from the Institute of History, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań (Poland). He conducts research in the field of Polish-Irish relations, especially, though not exclusively, in the nineteenth century. He is a former recipient of a prestigious research scholarship from the Lanckoroński Foundation (London). Between 2015 and 2018, he was co-organiser of international conferences dedicated to the historical examination of relations between Poland and Ireland.
He is also a member of the Polish Association for Irish Studies (PAIS).

Dr Tomczak is a historian and researcher at the Faculty of History, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland, where he graduated with a PhD in History from the Institute of History. His research focuses on the history of education and intellectual relations between Poland, Czech, Switzerland and Ireland from the fifteenth to the eighteenth centuries. He is a former recipient of the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship (post-doc at Basel University 2019/2020) and a prestigious research scholarship from the Lanckoroński Foundation (Italy).
He is also a member of many scientific societies, including the Polskie Towarzystwo Historyczne [Polish Historical Society], the Polsko-Czeskie Towarzystwo Naukowe [Polish-Czech Scientific Society], and the European Society for the History of Science.
